Late Easter

Happy Late Easter! Time is flying - with something happening all the time! We are currently watering some seeds that we planted in hopes of transplanting them to our garden. The first day they poked their heads up I heard Micah say, "My seeds are growing! Blessed be the King of Israel, my seeds are growing!" Pretty funny - I think he must've been listening to a song with that line in it!

We sure did enjoy the warm weather last week, but it was fun to play in the snow today! I tried to build a snowman, but Micah decided it would be better to beat it into oblivion. Then he hit snow "baseballs" until we couldn't feel our fingers!

Spring Break!

While Patrick took a group of 40 students to Houston for a mission trip, Micah and I went to Grandma and Papa's house for spring break! Micah wasn't feeling well and threw up on the way out.....that was a bummer. After a few days he was ready to go and LOVED riding the dune buggies. He and Carter worked on everything in Papa's shed, including cleaning the dirt off the planter with the air compressor! What fun we had!

Micah's Grandpa and Grandma Wilson just sent him a box full of new clothes. He was very excited to have a pair of red "racauetball shorts" just like his dad! I put him down for a nap in a pair of sweats and when he woke up and came out he had the famous shorts on. (He's not supposed to get out of bed at naptime.) Patrick asked him about it and he said, "Low and behold, I came out with these shorts on." Pretty funny!

Happy Valentine's Day! (Well, almost) Aunt Marilyn sent us some delicious cookies - so, of course, we are celebrating early! :) Here's a couple of funny stories: I told Micah to go outside and clean up his toys. When he came back in he was carrying a stick in his mouth. I said, "What are you doing?" He replied with all the confidence in the world, "I'm the bird from Noah's ark."

The second funny thing happened in the car. Patrick and I had done a radio spot for a local station to advertise for our church. Micah and I heard it for the first time and he said, "Is that Pastor Mark?!" I said yes and we got excited and listened to the rest. Micah kept hollering, "That's Pastor Mark!! I heard Pastor Mark!" I asked him who else he heard and he said he didn't know.......so I told him it was his Dad and me. SO, we heard it again about an hour later. He starts yelling, "That's Pastor Mark!! That's Daddy!" Then after a little pause he said, "Who was that girl?"

Time flies! It's been a while since we've updated our blog. A few weeekends ago we took several college students on a retreat to Ark City where Micah wanted "to stay forever". It was a great trip! We also got to see Jadon and Audrey when they were here which was REALLY good....except that I couldn't find my car keys at 5:30 in the morning to take them to the airport until I realized I had started my car already to warm it up! The last few days have been really warm, so we've taken advantage and played outside a lot. Micah goes from playing baseball to golf to frisbee to mowing and "weed eating" with his toys!
